Background on The Willow and The Bay

The Willow and The Bay is actually two businesses combined into one:

The Willow RV Campground in American Falls, Idaho

The Willow RV Campground in American Falls, Idaho

The Willow is an RV Park where RVers can do everything from dry camp to using the full amenities (water, sewer, and power). Its location on the edge of the American Falls Reservoir makes it an attractive destination for boaters, fishermen, four-wheeler enthusiasts, and anyone else who loves to spend time in the great outdoors.

The Bay is a restaurant where handmade is the only way it's done. Delicious food, friendly staff, and reasonable prices combined with a gorgeous view of the reservoir makes this a restaurant you'll want to visit again and again.

Candace Reynolds is the manager of both businesses; while the businesses and land they're situated on is owned by the City of American Falls, Candace runs the day-to-day operations, from cooking at the restaurant to taking reservations for the RV park. It is a true family affair, with her partner Eric Jensen helping out at the grill and out on the grounds of the RV park, to her daughter Hailey serving as a waitress, to her mother Carol making the delightful desserts and homemade jams, to her son Jacob doing the landscaping.

"Growing up here," said Candace, "I never thought about running The Willow and The Bay. It just sort of fell into my life."

Eric added, "We love the small-town feel and being able to stay in the community we live in."

This is Candace's second season of running The Willow and The Bay; previously, she worked at other local restaurants, including Remos for twelve years and Juniper Hills for two years. Her knowledge of the restaurant industry has helped her turn The Bay Restaurant into the success that it is today. "I've always worked in the restaurant business and I love it," Candace said. "I love waiting tables and being with the customers."

The upcoming summer season will be busy, with the annual Father's Day Fish Derby and the Carp Fishing Derby both being held out on the American Falls Reservoir. Candace is excited for the rush of customers that summer brings.

"I want to encourage anyone who has questions about staying here at the RV park to give me a call at 208-226-2688 or send me a message through the contact form. I work hard to offer the best customer service available."
